Musgraves is one of the largest retail groups in Western Europe. It has 800 stores in Ireland and 2,000 in the UK across convenience, forecourt and supermarket sectors. CBE continues to be a strategic EPoS partner after over twenty years of supporting retailers in the group; many retailers have graduated through four generations of CBE scanning systems.
The customer's need was to upgrade its system to a new Windows Touchscreen solution.
Musgraves had already chosen CBE as their EPoS software provider, and had advanced discussions with a number of tier 1 providers - such as Fujitsu and ELO Touch - about hardware requirements.
CBE successfully won the contract to supply and install over 800 Firich Mega Monitor Touch Screens to the SuperValu division of the group as part of the overall solution.
CBE's challenge was to source a responsive, reliable, robust, competitively priced and aesthetically pleasing solution to be installed within a short lead time. The customer selected this option largely because of CBE's recommendation, based on their previous work and existing relationship with Firich for over ten years. The guarantee of continuity of supply and ongoing support by CBE and Firich were central to their decision.
The hardware selected was the Firich Mega Monitor Touch 15” Screen with integrated card reader and optional biometric reader.
